The traditional drink of the Vikings made from 100% Norwegian honey and fresh mountain water from Flåm. Our mead is light and semi-dry with a fruity and lively aroma, with a pleasant flavor of heather honey and the mild autumn.

The Vikings didn’t have grapes, so they made mead from honey instead of wine. While beer was the common daily drink, mead was usually reserved for special occasions. Ægir Viking Mead gets it’s name from Heidrun, the goat from the Norse mythology from whose udders ran an endless supply of this celebratory drink.
